  17. The JRun Setup Guide is included within the JRun installation and it contains 
  18. detailed instructions on configuring JRun.  Copies of the following PDF
  19. documents are on the CD:

  28. You will require a copy of the Adobe Acrobat Reader to read the PDF documents.

  31. Before installing JRun, review the following installation notes:
  32.  
  33. - Refer to the JRun 3.0 SP1 Release Notes for information on applying the
  34.   SP1 upgrade.
  35.  
  36. - Do not install JRun over an existing JRun 2.x or 3.0 installation.  You 
  37.   will need to manually copy your existing JRun 2.x files to the appropriate 
  38.   locations in the new JRun 3.0 directory hierarchy.
  39.  
  40. - All JRun processes should be stopped before beginning the installation.
  41.  
  42. - If you will be using rmid, do not install JRun into a directory containing 
  43.   spaces in the directory name.
  44.  
  45. - A common source of installation problems is the use of an outdated Java 
  46.   runtime environment.  Please ensure that you're using the latest Java 
  47.   Runtime Environment that is available for your platform.  In general, 
  48.   Java 1.1 environments are supported, but the more mature Java 1.2 
  49.   environment results in better performance and fewer problems.  You 
  50.   can verify the version of your Java environment by executing the 
  51.   'java -version' command.

  54. Choose the appropriate JRun installation file set from the CD based upon 
  55. your operating system.  The unix installation scripts are started by 
  56. invoking the /bin/sh command with the appropriate installation script as 
  57. the argument (e.g., "/bin/sh install-filename").

  60.     jr301.exe - JRun 3.0.1 full install for Windows platforms (includes SP1 updates).
  61.     jr301w.exe - JRun 3.0.1 full install for Windows platforms (includes SP1 updates, includes the JRE)
  62.     jr30sp1.zip - SP1 update for Windows platforms.
  63.     jr301o.zip - JRun 3.0.1 OEM install for Windows platforms (includes SP1 updates).

  71. edition, select the ClusterCATS installation file based upon your operating
